The trip to the island is not complete without the morning Donuts offered by The Daily Grind. A great variety of fresh made donuts and pastries. Always delicious. Wonderful staff and owners.
Good coffee but I can't say it's worth $6. The pastries/bakery items looked delicious and I was told that they were from a local baker. Went to Costco the next day and found the SAME EXACT pastries/bakery items on their shelves. Highly disappointed that they're claiming this to be local. It's a lie if you ask me.
I love searching for small family owned coffee shops and this place is prefect! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The coffee and donuts are very tasty. They also offer a good selection of breakfast items, ice cream, and verious options for those that don't drink coffee.
This place seems nice, but they're a little bit expensive, I'd say. I ordered a drink for something near $6... Nice little shop though.
This place is horrible. The barista, if you could call him that, tried to charge me $21.50 for two coffees and an apple fritter. When I asked him if it really cost $21.00 for what we were given he said "yep" and I asked him to ring us up again. After he did the total was still $13.00. I understand that a tourist town has to make it's money for the year in a few short months but that was plain theft.
Then when I went to eat the pastry it was so covered with icing that I couldn't eat more than two bites without wanting to vomit. If there is anywhere else to go in Surf City do yourself a favor and go there instead.
